Individuals interested in applying for any of our services may request an application

via email or by calling directly to speak with someone. We invite and encourage you to

speak to us directly by telephone if you have questions or just want to get a better idea of

who we really are.

After an application review, an SBS staff member will contact you to discuss the applicant's

needs in greater detail, and provide you with an initial indication of whether our services

are appropriate for the applicant's needs. If our services are a potential fit, then we will

schedule an introductory meeting during which we can elaborate further on the specific

nature of our services, our philosophy, and the qualifications of our staff.

SBS has four comprehensive assessments corresponding to each of our service delivery

areas: independent living, vocational, socialization, and therapeutic. Through family

interviews, gathering of collateral information from other service providers, and

comprehensive direct observation of the individual's functioning, SBS will evaluate the

client's strengths and areas in need of further development.

At the conclusion of the assessment process SBS staff will hold a discovery meeting with

the family. During this meeting, SBS will present and interpret the results of the

assessment, along with providing treatment recommendations and a proposed service plan.
