Nanci L. Ginty,
Lead Residential Crisis Clinician
Nanci comes to Side By Side with ten years of experience
providing clinical services to children, adolescents,
adults and families in a variety of settings in the
human service field. She holds a Bachelor's degree from
Boston College and a Master's of Social Work with a
specialty certificate in family therapy from Boston
University School of Social Work. Early in her career,
Nanci worked with adolescents with mental health issues,
spending several years as a counselor and supervisor
in a family-based residential program. She has also
worked in the mental health department of a women's
prison providing individual and group therapy and crisis
intervention to incarcerated women with psychiatric
disabilities. Currently, Nanci holds the position of
Outreach Family Clinician, providing home-based family
therapy as well as clinical services to at-risk teenagers
in a local high school. She has also acted as a consultant
on several projects on behalf of the Massachusetts Department
of Mental Health and the Department of Social Services
to help improve the quality of services offered to children
and young adults in residential programs.
In addition to direct clinical work,
Nanci is active with the Massachusetts Chapter of the
National Association of Social Workers, where she currently
serves in her elected position as co-chair of the Nominating
Committee. She is also a board member of the Boston
University School of Social Work Alumni Association.
